If you sign up and become an Affiliate of ListingMover.com, which is a service of Miriam Technologies, Inc., you agree to play by the rules.
General Rules
To become an official Affiliate, with an official Affiliate website, you need to:
- Be a licensed Real Estate professional in your local market.
- Pick an available domain name for your site. This is something like "my-city-by-owner.com" that is used only for your Affiliate site.
- Pay the initial setup fee. We have to do a lot of work to build your specific site, so the setup fee is not refundable.
After you pick your domain name and pay the setup fee, we will haev your site ready for you to use within 7 days.
Fair Play
To keep your status as an official Affiliate, you need to:
- Always offer free listings to owners who want to put their property on your official Affiliate site. You don't get to charge for that, because we advertise that it's always free.
- Only use your site within your local market -- the one you're licensed in. If you want to branch out into new markets outside the initial one we agree upon, contact us and we'll work something out.
- Do business ethically. Lying, cheating, or stealing never does anybody any good. And it hurts our reputation if you're not willing to do the right thing. Hey, we know it's not easy, but it's always worth it.
- Use your site only for Real Estate. Our website can do some cool things with text, maps and pictures, but it's only for Real Estate. Offensive pictures are especially bad, and we'll kick you out of the game if you do anything like that.
- Pay your subscription fees every month. If you don't, we can shut off your website after 30 days and find somebody else in your market. Subscription fees are paid monthly and are not refundable.
Rights & Regulations
We own all of the software and equipment that powers the website. Logos, our ListingMover.com name, generic wording on the site, and things like that are ours, Copyright © Miriam Technologies, Inc. But you can use our logo (the one with the sun, house, and sign) and the generic things we've written for as long as you keep your official Affiliate site.
You own everything that you type in or upload to your site. That includes your domain name, descriptions of properties, and historical data. But we get to look at it and make use of it for as long as you're an official Affiliate. Don't worry, though: we won't let anyone else see it without your permission.
Rules Changes
We might need to change the rules from time to time, and we can do that, because we made up the game. The latest version of these rules will always be found here.
We don't expect that we'll ever have to raise our fees. But if we do, we won't raise them more than 10% during a year. And we'll give you 30 days notice before the new prices take effect.
Game Over
If you want to sell your site, with all of its information, pictures, and history, you need to let us know about it. The new owner has to register with us and take over your subscription fees.
If you want to cancel your subscription, just let us know. There is no long-term contract -- you can cancel anytime. You'll need to pay any subscription fees that you're behind on, but that shouldn't happen anyhow if you're doing business ethically. If you cancel, you need to stop using our logo and anything else that's ours.
If you want to cancel, we will be glad to provide you with a copy of all of your pictures and data in a computer-readable form, but you'll need to pay us another Setup Fee for the time it'll take us. Otherwise, we can just delete everything or give it to the next person who signs up in your place. If you want us to do one of those things instead, it's free.
New Plays
We're going to keep making our service better and better. You always get free upgrades as long as you're paying your subscription fees.
Nobody Gets Hurt
We'll do our best to keep things up and running. There are lots of people whose sites are run by our software, so we always try to fix problems as quickly as possible. But sometimes things break, and you don't get to sue us even if things go terribly wrong and people get mad at you. There's no warranty on this, because computers are complicated, unruly, and sometimes testy beasts.
Sometimes people make mistakes, and we understand that. So if we find out that you're not playing fair, using way too much bandwidth or hard drive space, or doing other nasty things that we don't like, we'll tell you about it (and if it's correctible by us, we'll correct it whether you like it or not) and ask you to change it. If you don't, we will cancel your account.
Our software lets you give usernames and passwords to multiple people. But you're responsible for what's done on your site, even if somebody else does it.
